The Howl was born in March 2003 Barakaldo (Bilbao), Eneko Barañano, the band's drummer, started the journey together with Imanol López and Jorge Rodriguez, guitarist & bassist respectively, till July 2003 when they contacted Miriam Barriuso, the current singer of the band. After a summer intensive, the band decided to play their first show as The Howl facing the public at the Bilborock Club playing together with two bands. The wishes and results were so successful that they went on their way just till November 2003 when The Howl contacted Iosu Murillo (current guitarrist of the band, from Eibar) and after his joining to the band, The Howl was finally full up. A bit later The Howl took part in The European and North American Festival "Emergenza" where the band got the first place in this competition in the Euskadi finals & third place in the national final in Madrid. A great and successful shove that was adorned when Miriam Barriuso got the Best Singer prize of Bilbao in this mentioned competition. With several past and future shows inside/outside Basque Country, The Howl have released what is their new 100% self-produced CD called "Next Report: 02:35" (2007) fully recorded and produced at "Play Howl" Studios in 2006-07 and they already have a Demo recorded and released during autumn-winter in 2004 called "The Howl 2.0" |
